One day I entered my studio for a day with God. I needed to shut out all outside voices and go inside myself. I was inspired to use my large-scale palette knife I created, proceeding to paint with white satin acrylic paint on epanel (aluminum). I added a touch of gold--when I paint gold I paint God--symbolizing God's walk with me throughout this earth journey. Plus a touch of iridescent pearl paint which shifts in the light as does the gold. Once the stroke appeared, it reminded me of Superman's "Fortress of Solitude". I always loved that scene with Christopher Reeve. It was his safe place. God is my safe place. Life has been very difficult at times. White cleans the slate and allows me to breathe. And to begin again.
I have added a couple of pics and a video so you can see how the paint dances in the light.
To hang it, I can do one of 2 things: Add a metal mounting frame on the back so it appears to be free floating off the wall. OR frame it in a white metal satin frame. Either one is included in the price. Please email me at art@pamelanielsen.com to discuss. Thank you!
