âI deeply and completely love, accept and forgive myself.â  Words I have repeated over and over again through the years as I practice emotional freedom technique (EFT).  Assisting me to deeply and completely love and accept myself.  Easier at times than others.  So I drew on energy from the root chakra (red) and the solar plexus chakra (yellow) allowing â acceptanZâ of life on earth and â acceptanZâ of myself.  

Red is the color of passion, energy and Action!  When I first started painting, I was drawn to paint on metal and acrylic.  I just loved how my paints would glide on their surface.  I purchased red acrylic platters at Z Gallerie.  For some reason, I just needed red. Now I understand why.  Carrying emotions of rage and anger (I was really seeing RED!) and feeling six feet under as my memories of childhood abuse surfaced, I swept a lemon yellow stroke across the red acrylic--symbolizing taking my personal power back.

Red is powerfully linked to our most primitive physical and emotional needs of survival and self-preservation. I was barely surviving in those days.  Painting on pure red helped give me the courage and change I was so desperately needing.
