orange (chakraZ™)

Oh my hell! "balanZ"! Will I ever achieve it?? I love the smoothness and peacefulness of "balanZ", especially the calming brown background. And the deliciousness of red that grounds me. This was one of my first original paintings and my first image I ever printed.

In "retrospect"- - that is, in looking back and contemplating the past -- I sometimes find myself wishing I had done a lot of things differently.  A lot of regret.  So I decided to go easy on myself and heal it with a beautiful color combo... forgiveness (green), peacefulness (baby blue), a "yes to life" attitude (red), and optimism (orange).

This is one of my first art originals I painted. A "rebirth" from a very dark period in my life. Coming out of tranquil blue water... red gave me the courage and intensity I needed to push forward with a stroke of orange/yellow -- to claim back my personal and creative power.

As we move towards Christ consciousness--the crown or 7th chakra--our true "radianZ" radiates . Strength, control, love, charity. It becomes a fast-moving energy.

We all have our "perZeption" of things. Lines may be blurred at times -- because we are all wired differently, trying to find our way. The aqua blue helps to calm and give clarity.

After weeks of creating the chakraZª WHITE series in my head, I entered my studio one evening to paint them.  Each stroke on a 27"x21" piece of deep bronze metal. Signifying coming out of the dark.  8 strokes of color--7 from the primary chakra colors--red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet--and pink. The chakra of love.  I had been doing a lot of healing work with the chakra colors, releasing memories of childhood abuse, and felt inspired to paint a white stroke through each representing a clearing of any negative energy in that specific chakra. Painting these intense colors dramatically shifted me physiologically in a very positive direction!

"life!" IS orange. Happy and enthusiastic! Promoting exploration and creativity with a new-dawn attitude. When painting this piece, I could't think of another color more appropriate for "life!" then orange. It's fun, spontaneous, independent, accepting, prosperous, generous, optimistic, resourceful. It's "life!".

The chakraZª WHITE series includes the images "powerful" "life!" "clarity" "youthful" "mantraZ" "manifeZt" "divine wiZdom" and "magnetiZm".

Deep purple is related to higher spiritual attainment. And gold, at its highest level, inspires knowledge, spirituality and a deep understanding of the self and the soul. Whenever I paint gold -- I paint God. A beautiful "integration."

Frank Sinatra said that orange is the happiest color. I couldn't agree more! It's alive, happy, creative, friendly, and exciting! I love orange! It really livens up my paintings. Even just a drop of it.

I love orange! It feeds my energy and lightens my spirit. It feels new and fresh to me. It rejuvenates my cells and calls out to my "creating" juices. It's so alive! Whether it is the statement or accent color in any original I paint, it adds life, an energetic spark and completion to that piece. Orange is connected to the sacral or 2nd chakra.
