It isn’t often that a new genre of art is begun. And when there is an awakening in conceptual style and visual expansion, it usually sends reverberations throughout the art community.

Such is the impact of a new style and medium that has recently emerged. Not only is the sheer beauty of free-flowing design and sumptuous color ever present, but also the overall application to a wide variety of formats is unique. A new dimension in art has appeared which has the capability of bridging a gap that has been apparent for too long.

The artistic age of “techno-romanticism” has been born. And its creative muse is Pamela Nielsen.

Pamela Nielsen was born in Toronto and moved to Utah at the age of eleven.  She likes to believe that her artistic flare comes from her Italian and Hungarian blood lines–”a delicious heritage”, so she says.

Her artistic ability was clearly evident at a young age and she followed her creative passions into adulthood with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. Now, after years of experimentation and application, Pamela has indeed achieved the epitome of expression and form.

During those years, she began identifying and becoming aware of seven primary human energy centers in the body called chakras, which receive, assimilate, and distribute energy.  She found that when her energy centers were open and working in harmony together, she experienced peace, oneness and joy.  Understanding that the chakras resonate and vibrate to the same frequencies of the rainbow colors—red, orange, yellow, green, sky blue, indigo, and purple—she began incorporating these specific colors in her art.   As she creates each piece, a certain emotion related to the color of each chakra is her primary focus.

“I love vibrant, pure colors! I also like creating texture in my application and blending several shades of one color together. My art makes me feel so alive and puts a smile on my face, and I hope that my viewers will feel the same.”

One cannot view Pamela’s work and not be captivated by the spontaneous and energetic feelings and emotions that each piece exudes. Pamela Nielsen promises and delivers a portfolio of what art should be.

When Pamela isn’t focusing on her passion of painting, as the mother of four athletic boys and wife of a former professional baseball player, she can usually be found watching her “men” fulfill their passion.   They reside in Utah.
