I have always felt that my gift comes from a higher power.   I call upon God and angels continually in my life, and was very guided from day one when I began painting.  Never having painted before, I was amazed at what I was creating!  I would hear a still soft voice whisper in my right ear instructing me.   Archangelâ feels like a familiar friend.  Watching over me every step of my way.

I was Churning--that's for sure--when I painted this one. All of these deep emotions inside of me were Churning to get out--that they did! I felt like the mad scientist creating a new concoction. When completed--I was at peace. And felt a helluva lot better.

Picking up the energy of the color indigo to represent clairvoyanZ from the third eye chakra, I topped it off with orange and red-- from the sacral and root chakras.  Showing that my creativity and courage to create, come from a higher power.

While whale watching a few years ago off the shores of Seattle, an incredible whale came out of the water then dove in for us to take a look at him through the boat glass.  Utterly spectacular!  

My oldest son actually painted the last stroke on my original euphoria.  We were in a very happy, playful mood, and euphoria just appeared!  Love the light airy movement in it.

The color indigo in âflight, associated with the brow or third eye chakra, allows me the energy to take my intuition, insight, clairvoyance, imagination, extra-sensory perception to flight.  Woohoo! Look out world, here we come.............

Blue, the color of the throat chakra, owns the quality of independenZ.  Robert Louis Stevenson said, "To know what you prefer instead of humbly sayingâ amenâ to what the world tells you you ought to prefer is to have kept your soul alive.  Quieting all voices to listen to your own.   True independenZ.

This piece IS me.  I had created a huge print from my original--8x5â--and had taken it out of my home for an art show.  I couldn't figure out why I felt so out of sorts--then I realized "manifeZtation" was gone! Indigo, related to the brow chakra often calledâ the third eyeâ allows me to go inside myself to visualize what it is I'm going to create.  It's where I am able to see and feel my loved ones from the other side.  The color indigo is SO VERY dynamic to me.  You can't miss it!  This is one of my very first paintings.

After weeks of creating the chakraZª WHITE series in my head, I entered my studio one evening to paint them. Each stroke on a 27"x21" piece of deep bronze metal.  Signifying coming out of the dark. 8 strokes of color--7 from the primary chakra colors--red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet--and pink. The chakra of love. I had been doing a lot of healing work with the chakra colors, releasing memories of childhood abuse, and felt inspired to paint a white stroke through each representing a clearing of any negative energy in that specific chakra. Painting these intense colors dramatically shifted me physiologically in a very positive direction!

"mantraZ" is a word or phrase repeated over and over during meditation. They are generally sacred in nature--a name or sound that both uplifts you and helps you keep your focus. They are designed to change you. How better to paint it then with blue--associated with the throat chakra.  Like music to my ears.

I'm obsessed with aqua and turquoise.  Combined with pink, they both balance and strengthen life-energy at many levels.  A freshness of color combinations in modern art as well as life...a novelty.

Of all my prints, Oneness l and Oneness are my favorites! It was one of my first paintings--while healing through memories of childhood abuse.  I painted it on a porcelain plate, and it has become one of my most popular prints.  At the time I needed to reconnect with myself, God and the universe.  This stroke came out of me in one swoosh.  I love it so much.  It hangs in my entry way--I look at it everyday, and it still touches my soul.   "Oneness" with myself, God and the Universe. Don't know why I called this orgaZmic blueZ--I just did!  It actually reminds me of coral under the sea.  And the mustard/yellow coloration creates such a unique contemporary vibe.   Possibly orgaZmic?  You make the call.

I painted ârefreshâ when I was feeling the need for a creative reset.  The soft blue color helped me tap into my soul and look beyond, and the vibrant green energy accelerated anâ out with the old in with the newâ vibe--a much needed release!  All with an open heart.
